Biography

Gijs is the founder and CEO of Alucha. After receiving his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology and putting in a couple of years of engineering at Fluor, Gijs went on to get his MBA at IESE in Barcelona. Gijs is founder and CEO of Alucha and pioneered the pyrolysis technology to convert plastic-aluminum waste into new raw materials. After this successful development, Alucha applied the same to recover mineral fillers from end consumer paper waste streams. Gijs has an elaborate professional network, coordinating skills, knowledge of European grant schemes and technical expertise in advanced, pioneering projects in the circular economy.
